Ceremony and Reception Spaces: Horseshoe Bend is perfect for an exclusive rental for you and a handful of your closest friends and family. We think that the cosiness of the estate lends itself well to an intimate gathering outdoors, with a ceremony on the patio terrace and a reception by the firepit with good wine and amazing New Zealand BBQ. However, if you are looking for a larger ceremony and don’t plan on hosting all of your guests onsite, the venue can pitch a larger marquee on the lawn for an unforgettable evening of dinner and dancing.
Accommodations: An exclusive rental of the property for your wedding or event includes accommodations for up to 12 guests across two designer villas that serve as a secluded sanctuary for you and your loved ones. The rooms and suites on offer at Horseshoe Bend are spacious, clean, and bright, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that welcome the outdoors in and open up to an open fire for BBQs and loungers for an afternoon of mountain gazing. You couldn’t ask for a more comfortable, luxe stay in Central Otago.
Extend Your Stay: This cosy venue is ideally situated for honeymooners and friends and family wanting to make the most of their trip to the lake. Less than a 15 minute drive away is the waterfront town of Wanaka, where adventures including boating, paragliding, skydiving, and scenic helicopter riding await. Nearby Queenstown also offers fabulous shopping and dining options, and the picturesque Lake Hawea is a natural anglers playground with turquoise waters and plenty of salmon and trout available. There is so much to do in this part of New Zealand that we highly recommend sticking around for a few days and making the most of the activities and nature on offer!
